Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is focused on the immediate needs of the individual. There is nothing too big or too small that you as the client and I as your counselor cannot address. Individual counseling encompasses a variety of issues such as life transition, career counseling, grief, depression, anxiety, the ending or beginning of a relationship as well as issues related to sexuality, sexual orientation, addiction and abuse just to name a few. Individual counseling is conducted one-on-one and begins with an initial phone assessment, followed by a face-to-face 60-minute assessment where I gather information that will help you and I as we move forward. The sessions going forward are where the work of challenging our negative thoughts and behaviors and work on replacing those thoughts and behaviors with healthy more positively based direction. Sessions are 45 minutes in length and vary in duration according to a mutual agreement by yourself as the client and me as the counselor.
